Fabric swatches

These fabric swatches are organised according to fabric weight. The slightly thicker light canvas and decor-weight fabrics are most suitable for pen wraps; it is possible of course to use quilting-weight fabrics, but these will need a little more care.

Please keep checking back as I add more and more swatches; I have hundreds of different fabrics, so uploading photos of them all is going to take some time! Each photo is titled with a name, which will be the actual designer and fabric name if I know it, or otherwise a simple descriptive title. Please use this title when requesting your fabric choices so that I am sure which fabric you prefer for your wrap or pouch.

The Pelikan M805 Stresseman is included in the shot to add perspective on the size of print or patterns. Where fabrics have larger scale prints I may be able to incorporate specific portions of these according to your preferences. For these I have taken a photo with the fabric spread out to show the print in full, as well as the usual photo and closeup of the fabric weave.

Mid-weight fabrics:
Consider these to be around the same weight as fabric you might find in curtains or cushions. These may be a cotton twill fabric, or a soft canvas, and are very durable. The cotton twill decor fabric has a very high quality finish with a soft hand, whilst canvas type weaves give a more organic, raw finish.

Hello!

Welcome to my little inky blob.

Here I ponder pens, play with inks, and share my sewing creations of pen wraps and pouches. The sewing is a new venture that I am really enjoying right now, and it's great to have fun making things that help others enjoy our awesome fountain pen hobby even more!

I have another blob, wherein I run too much. If you are interested in one, you are more than likely uninterested in the other. Then again, you might well be. After all, I am.

Cheers! Lisa.
